A monthly space for mid-level leaders carrying heavy responsibility, competing priorities, and invisible pressure to receive practical tools, strategic insight, and have honest conversations to help them lead more sustainably inside demanding environments.

JOin the Lab

Many leaders are expected to produce results, stabilize teams, solve problems, manage competing priorities, and absorb organizational strain — often without the clarity, support, or space needed to do so sustainably. Over time, that pressure can lead to exhaustion, disconnection, and diminished capacity, even among high-performing leaders.

The Leadership Load Lab exists to provide a different kind of leadership space. One rooted in strategic support, honest conversation, practical tools, and sustainable leadership development.

Through monthly virtual sessions, leaders gain:

  • practical frameworks to navigate leadership pressure more effectively
  • greater clarity around leadership load and capacity strain
  • strategies to reduce over-functioning and protect sustainability
  • a space where the realities of leadership are understood, not minimized

This is not about perfection or performance theater. It is about helping leaders lead well without losing themselves in the process.

July 14, 2026 ~ Leadership Without Overload: For the Leaders Everyone Depends On

Too often, the leaders who consistently perform, solve problems, support others, and keep things moving become the people everyone depends on. Over time, what begins as dependability can quietly evolve into overload.

Many mid-level leaders find themselves carrying responsibilities beyond their role while navigating competing priorities, constant urgency, emotional labor, and pressure from multiple directions. And because they continue showing up and producing results, the weight they carry often goes unnoticed.

In this first session of The Leadership Load Lab, we'll explore how high-performing leaders can unintentionally become organizational "shock absorbers" — absorbing strain from every direction while continuing to push forward.

Participants will:

• Identify signs of leadership strain and hidden load
• Recognize responsibilities and pressures that may not actually belong to them
• Understand how invisible leadership demands impact capacity and performance
• Learn practical strategies for creating healthier boundaries and more sustainable leadership practices
• Leave with a tool/framework they can immediately apply to their current leadership role

This session is designed for mid-level leaders who are responsible for leading people, supporting teams, protecting missions, and balancing expectations from multiple directions — especially those who feel like they're carrying more than they were ever meant to carry alone.

August 11, 2026 ~ Too Many Priorities. Not Enough Capacity

Many leaders are not struggling because they lack commitment, work ethic, or ability. They're struggling because priorities continue to grow while time, support, and capacity remain the same.

New initiatives get added.

Additional responsibilities appear.

Urgent requests interrupt planned work.

Competing expectations pull leaders in multiple directions.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, leaders are expected to keep leading effectively, supporting their teams, and producing results.

Over time, carrying too many priorities without enough capacity can create overwhelm, frustration, decision fatigue, and the feeling that no matter how hard you work, you're always behind.

In this session of The Leadership Load Lab, we'll explore what happens when leadership demand exceeds leadership capacity and learn practical ways to navigate competing priorities without carrying the pressure of trying to do everything at once.

Participants will:

• Identify the difference between priorities and competing demands
• Recognize signs of capacity strain and overload
• Explore how overcommitment impacts leadership effectiveness and well-being
• Learn practical strategies for evaluating, organizing, and protecting leadership capacity
• Leave with a tool/framework they can immediately apply to make decisions with greater clarity

This session is designed for mid-level leaders who feel pulled in multiple directions, are balancing competing expectations, and often feel like there simply are not enough hours, resources, or support to meet everything being asked of them.

September 8, 2026 ~ The Mental Exhaustion of Leadership

Leadership can be physically demanding, but many leaders discover that the greatest fatigue isn't physical at all — it's mental.

It's the constant decision-making.

The endless problem-solving.

The pressure of supporting other people while carrying your own responsibilities.

The competing priorities, difficult conversations, shifting expectations, and feeling that your mind never truly shuts off.

Over time, leadership strain can create mental exhaustion that feels like brain fog, decision fatigue, decreased patience, difficulty focusing, emotional depletion, and the sense that you're constantly running on empty.

And because leaders are often expected to keep showing up and performing, many quietly assume this is simply part of the job.

In this session of The Leadership Load Lab, we'll explore how leadership demands impact mental capacity and learn practical ways to recognize and address the hidden strain leaders often carry.

Participants will:

• Identify signs of mental exhaustion and leadership fatigue
• Recognize how constant pressure impacts decision-making and effectiveness
• Explore common contributors to leadership strain and depletion
• Learn practical strategies to protect mental capacity and create healthier leadership practices
• Leave with a tool/framework they can immediately apply to reduce leadership fatigue and support sustainability

This session is designed for mid-level leaders who feel mentally overloaded, struggle to "turn work off," or find themselves carrying the weight of leadership long after the workday ends.

Why the Lab Exists

Too many leaders are carrying pressure silently and, overtime, leadership can begin to feel less like meaningful work and more like constant survival mode.

The Leadership Load Lab was created because strong leaders deserve more than encouragement to “push through.” They deserve practical support, strategic tools, honest conversations, and space to lead more sustainably.

This is a space where leadership pressure is acknowledged—not minimized.

A space where leaders can gain clarity, reduce overload, and reconnect with sustainable leadership practices without pretending everything is fine.

Because leadership should not require losing yourself in the process.
